Richard Stillman is a musical storyteller who performs stories from many cultures. He has performed for many years at the New Jersey Storytelling Festival, and was featured at the County College of Morris World Storytelling Festival.He has performed his stories in schools, libraries, museums and theaters throughout the Northeast.


Storytelling and Music Shows- The Mythmakers

      Jewish Folktales & Klezmer Music. 

Some of the stories he tells include: The Man with No Story To Tell (Irish), Kotaro and the Magic Nose Fan (Japanese), Wiley and the Hairy Man (American South) Pecos Bill Stories (American West) The Frogs of Lake Coipasa (Original/Peruvian), Monkey Steals the Drum (African) , Hungboo and Knollboo (South Korean), Peter Kagen and the King of the Seals (Irish),  Angus McDonald's Nose     (Original/Scottish) and the Tiger and the Chatee Maker (Indian). He accompanies his stories with instruments and songs from each culture. 



Richard also tells stories with storyteller Gerald Fierst as part of the Mythmakers. They were featured in the MAST  gathering of storytellers in the Northeast, and have performed for many years at the New Jersey Storytelling Festival in Hamilton, New Jersey. They will be featured at the County College of Morris Storytelling Festival on March 18th 2012.
